WEEKEND GUIDE TO SOUTH PADRE ISLAND If I have seen one of the cleanest and the widest most beautiful beach in Texas in past 15 years of my travel in various cities of Texas, it is undoubtedly the South Padre Island. The drive from Houston to South Padre Island is approximately 8 hours, perfect for a long weekend gateway. We decided to go to the Padre Island just a day before the memorial day long weekend, so we got the rooms a bit expensive than its actual value. I would highly recommend comparing the room rates on various sites on the internet before you leave. New York In Snapshots I happened to be in the big apple right around Christmas time for work and decided to sneak in a day or two for myself since it was a regular weekend and the time was just about right. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have always been fascinated with the idea of solo travel, and I was extremely serious after I read an article back in June 2016 about companies catering specifically to solo travelers. All of a sudden the idea of solo travel was less intimidating to me. If the idea of solo travel does not intimidate you then consider it at least once in your lifetime, I promise you will love it. Confining an entire country in one blog post is a difficult task. There is so much more to this colorful country that there are blogs dedicated to it.
